Why do I use a pseudonym? I very much value anonymity in today's very rabid, cruel culture. I know I cannot mask my identity completely, and I know there are people out there who would do whatever they can to uncover my identity and post my information publicly for the world to see. I do not know what those people stand to gain from it, but they certainly exist. Nevertheless, for however much I am able to do to preserve the anonymity of my identity, there are a couple of reasons I do so. First, I've had bad experiences previously using my real identity online, which resulted in a very serious stalking case in which I had to get federal police involved. I was told by the officer working with me that, for my own safety going forward, it would be best to keep my real name as private as possible to avoid situations like these going forward. Since then, I've stuck to using pseudonyms on my various online profiles. It was a terrifying situation, and I hope to never have to deal with something like that ever again. Though the social climate we currently live in of websites/social media demanding personal information coupled with a culture that encourages the tearing down of others to make oneself feel superior makes it very difficult to maintain this anonymity, I still ask that you please respect my privacy. Furthermore, I am well aware that the spiritual path that I walk is a highly mocked one. I am no stranger to this, as I run a spiritual business on the side, and even within that supposedly very "loving and open-minded" sphere, there is plenty of widespread gatekeeping, and certain niche beliefs are routinely dogpiled in mockery. I am also well aware of various communities out there that make fun of people as a hobby. As such, I am attempting to keep my more niche explorations separate even from that community in an attempt to avoid the negativity and holier-than-thou soapboxing as much as possible. Perhaps one day in the future, I will share my spiritual business with you all, but for now, please just call me Lady Willow Nightshade. :)
But who am I in a way that is relevant to this community? Of course, as mentioned on my homepage, I have been involved with the subliminal community for quite a few years now - as both a subliminal user and subliminal creator. But if that isn't enough on its own, I have been involved with the spiritual/metaphysical realm for nearly all my life. I am a Wiccan by path and a witch by practice. I have many, many, many years of experience and a hereditary gift that serves as a backbone to my practice. I am a natural when it comes to energy work, particularly in relation to healing and particularly when done for other people. I believe that I have a very distinct mission in this lifetime, though I am still on a journey to figure out exactly what that. My current niche focus for study is astral travel, the structure of space and time, and the journey of the soul. Another interesting tidbit is that my past life exploration seems to suggest that I lived a very important life in Atlantis, which to me, suggests that I've been involved in spirituality for multiple lifetimes. Further, I do believe we are in the midst of some sort of spiritual war, and I think there are a lot of things going on that we don't know about. I think that's at least part of the reason many of us are falling victim to unbelievable feelings of negativity in more recent years. Whether it is an intentional war to keep the power-hungry above everyone else or an accidental byproduct of a culture that is simply incompatible with human nature, I do not know for certain. Perhaps it is both. Either way, I will continue to learn and ask questions, and I will continue to share what I experience in order to teach and inspire others to find happiness and to do good things.
Am I "special" compared to others in the subliminal community? No - and yes. I am special in the way that every single person on the planet is special - in my individual lived experiences. From that alone, I believe each one of us has something unique to provide. In regards to the subliminal community, I may bring something unique to the table in that I use my own special formula based on those lived experiences (e.g., my own experimentation and research in the field of metaphysics and manifestation) and I use my own energy in the creation process of my work - but this does not mean I am any "better" than any other sub maker out there. If my subs work well for you - fantastic! If someone else's subs work better for you, that's great, too. I'm not looking to compete or to get famous. I'm just looking to help people. Truth be told, I kind of dislike it when those in the subliminal community (not naming names) differentiate themselves by putting down other creators and their abilities as a way of making their own work look "superior". This simply isn't true and is merely a tactic for competition. Prior to creating subliminals, there were certain sub makers I got results from, while others did not. Likewise, there were sub makers I got absolutely no results from, while many others absolutely did. My current theory is that this is determined by two things: How well your energy meshes with that of the sub maker and your initial perceptions upon first listening to the subliminal. The truth is that, though it may take a bit of time and effort, absolutely anyone can make an effective subliminal..
Why did I decide to start making subliminals? You know, the more I've seen people find happiness and success using my subliminals, the more I have grown to feel that creating them may have been just a tiny part of my mission here. Initially, though, subliminal creation started for my own personal use in my own personal practice. It was only when the subliminal community began having concerns regarding certain subliminal creators intending to bring harm to their listeners that I decided to share what I'd made so as to give people another option and to hopefully share some of my positive energy with what was, at the time, a very hurt community. Honestly, the community still seems to have frequent struggles regarding drama, but I do try my very best to not get involved, and I hope that in time, the community is able to really grow and heal. Until then, I will continue trying my very best to be the little slice of positive pie I've aimed to be since the very beginning of my journey here. :)
Why do I believe in subliminals? Simply put: I've had an abundance of very interesting, very difficult-to-debunk experiences. Contrary to what some may believe on first glance, I am actually a very skeptical person. I try to explore everything deeply and thoroughly, and I come up with many potential theories along the way. I know that there are many people who would instantly discredit my explorations for not being "scientific" enough simply because it involves the metaphysical, but what is science if not a cycle of experimentation and results? This process of experimentation and results, in fact, has always been my approach to my spiritual endeavors, and the fact of the matter is that I have, indeed, had some interesting successes and experiences. Someone turning their nose up at me won't take those experiences away. I know other people, as well, who would say that it is invalid evidence because it's simply anecdotal, but then I ask again, what is science but replicated experiences? It seems as though the validity of someone's experiences, in the eyes of many, is relative to the professional title you possess and the field which you explore. Regardless, perhaps I am wrong about subliminals, and there is some very simple and logical explanation that I am just not aware of for the bizarre experiences I and many others have had with them. That would be okay. I've been wrong before, and I will be wrong again in the future. I am open to that, and even happy about it, because it's being wrong oftentimes that leads me to new discoveries. It's part of learning, and I never want to stop learning.
Am I evil and/or negative? Not at all! Quite the opposite! I am very much against evil, injustice, and negativity. The bottom line for me is that I want to help everyone find their happiness, and I hope to encourage everyone to want that for others, as well, in the process. If that sounds evil or negative, I'm simply not sure what to tell you. Now, I know some would brand me evil simply for walking the path of Wicca (a religion with a strict law against producing negativity or causing harm, by the way) or believing that religion in general is not so black-and-white a concept as some people claim, but I have only ever sought to bring love, vibrancy, and explorations of the universe to humanity. I also know that it can be difficult to trust a stranger on the internet, especially one with a pseudonym, with all the negativity and morally ambiguity lurking around. And it is true that we have had dubious sub makers hanging around in the community in the past, as well as many currently active sub makers who may put out questionable content to say the least. I can only do my best to ensure you that I am safe by sharing my own knowledge, insight, and experiences, and if you still don't believe that I am safe, you are free to work with a different sub maker or to use my methods to make your own subliminals. :)
Am I just doing this for money? Frankly, this sort of assumption is ridiculous and extremely entitled, but I know some people out there instantly assume it, so I'll go ahead and address it. My entire library of subliminals is totally free for anyone to use. I put in hours upon hours crafting the affirmations, finding the perfect resources, rendering the videos, creating separate calm versions, and putting my energy into all of it - and I've done this for well over 500 subs at this point - for absolutely $0. My videos are not monetized, and YouTube will not allow me to monetize them. Instead, the ads that they may run on my videos, per YouTube's policy change, exclusively gives money to YouTube. I make no cut. All of the content I have here on my website is totally free. It is true that I do have a Gumroad where I host my calm subliminal MP3 downloads as well as a ton of additional content, but no one is required to support me here in order to listen to my subliminals. This is just a little something extra for those who are able and would like to support all of the work I've done. Once again, my entire library of subliminals - music and calm versions - is totally free to use as often as you like on my YouTube channel. That being said, I absolutely do not blame any sub makers for attempting to monetize their passion and hard work by running ads, offering certain subliminals for purchase, or charging a decent rate for their custom requests - and I think it's very entitled to get angry with them for doing so. Making subliminals, especially if you put energy into them like I do, is a lot of work - and every single one of us has bills to pay. That being said, the only thing I gain from my completely free library of hundreds of subliminals is the satisfaction of knowing I'm helping people, as cheesy as that may sound. Assuming I'm simply doing this for money is asinine and insulting.
Do I use subliminals? Yes, I use my own subliminals, and I also do lots of other manifestation work on top of that. As I've mentioned, I am a practicing witch. I do lots of manifestation and healing work for friends and family in particular, and I find a lot of success in using subliminals in tandem with that. In myself, I have had physical changes, psychological changes, lifestyle changes, and spiritual changes. I do not want to go into the detail of these successes, as it is a bit personal to discuss publicly, but all of these successes I can credit, at least in part if not entirely, to my own subliminals and the subliminals of Eleutheriae Fili, Luminalplay, Vetala, Kottie, and Mermaid.
How do I make my subliminals? I answer this question more thoroughly on my FAQ page, but a very basic breakdown of how subliminals are made, as well as a basic breakdown of how subliminals work, can be found on the Sub Basics page of this website. If you're interested in a more in-depth breakdown of how subliminals work, how to use them, how to make them, and how to get the best results, consider having a look at my complete guide for just $5 on my Gumroad. Everything you need to get started is already provided on this website, but if you would like to take your subliminal work a step further, I worked very hard on this guide to ensure it is packed with information, free of filler, and easy to understand at any level. :)
