Dispelling the MythsRecently, I've been met with a couple of comments on my channel calling my work out as "witchcraft" and "evil" and "against God", and I wanted to address this fully in hopes of opening the conversation, easing any worries, and ironing out any misconceptions. Before we dive specifically into subliminals and their connection to "witchcraft", we must first define witchcraft. Of course, the definition of witchcraft will differ from person to person. In general, it is defined as the practice of magic/magick - and magick is simply an influence of events or energies by seemingly supernatural means. Witchcraft (and magick, for that matter) is not inherently evil, and its perceived morality really depends on the intentions of the person performing it. Witchcraft is simply a means for change. Even prayer can be considered a form of magick/witchcraft when applying the proper definition. Would those then who consider witchcraft evil also consider prayer evil? I'm not so sure. The interpretation of witchcraft and magick as evil comes to us by combination of Hollywood glamorization and literal interpretations of Biblical verses, which we can perhaps discuss at length another time. Witchcraft/magick is not a religion by itself. It does not require gods or demons or spirits to be practiced. It can certainly be practiced through a religious lens, but it does not require it. I've known many healers who work through prayer and intention to also be devout Christians. I've also known many practitioners who work with no other entity at all and focus solely on natural energies. Back to SubliminalsReturning to our original question then: Are subliminals witchcraft? It depends on who you ask and what their definition is. If you mean witchcraft simply as a "technique for bringing about change by influencing energies", then sure, subliminals could be considered witchcraft. If your definition of witchcraft is more concerned with the types of techniques being used, then perhaps not. Regardless, subliminals are definitely a technique of magick - just like prayer, just like Law of Attraction techniques, just like the Placebo Effect, just like any form of energy work. Subliminals, like all of these things, are simply an energetic technique to bring about change - ideally, positive change. And positive change is certainly the intention behind my own subliminals, even those that you may perceive as more "out there" and "different" (again, a conversation for another time).
If you are Christian and struggling to figure out where you stand on subliminals, consider this: What if the success of subliminals are simply proof of God's magnificence? If it is said that we are made in His image, as beings of creation, then doesn't it stand to reason that subliminals (and magick, even) are examples of the amazingly powerful minds He has blessed us with? Further, if your intentions are good, and especially if they have the potential to help others, would a loving God consider that bad? Further still, would a forgiving God not forgive us for trying to do our best to bring good into the world? Perhaps you disagree with this opinion, and that is perfectly fine. You don't have to take my word for it. If you're Christian, ask God yourself, and follow where that leads. In the end, no matter what your religion or belief system or creed, you have to do what is best for you - and the best for you is all I want.

Is It Really the Subliminal?Lately, I've been receiving a number of emails asking for help and advice in regards to "negative subliminals" and the unwanted effects they can cause on your mind, body, and spirit. In today's post, I will be going over how to identify negative subs (or sub-makers) and how to, in my opinion, address is properly if you do happen to come across one. First, however, it is important to ask yourself: Is it really the subliminal causing issues for me? Many people, unfortunately, jump the gun on this one and are then able to really correct any issues they are having. Before making any assumptions about whether or not a subliminal has something "negative" in it, it's important to first identify your own potential issues that may be causing you some trouble. Subliminal work is energy work. Your energy will always be mingling with the energies of the universe when doing any kind of manifestation. The most obvious of issues are, of course, negative beliefs pertaining to yourself or the use of subliminals, but there are several other factors that can also come into play. There may be some yet unacknowledged programming within you that requires you to look a bit more deeply beneath the surface. Something like this will most definitely require some hands-on work such as therapeutic techniques or shadow work, which I will perhaps discuss in a later post. This programming may cause you to have negative beliefs about yourself, about manifestation, or even about subliminal work specifically. To test this, have a look into auric cleansing methods and give your preferred method a try. You may also choose to pair that process with a generic flush or a flush more specified to unwanted subliminal results for good measure. Once that is complete, try a new subliminal from a different creator - preferably to manifest something minor. If you are still experiencing negative effects from an entirely different creator, it may be that you have some internal hands-on reprogramming work to do. Another issue may be conflicting energies in your environment. If you live in a very negative environment filled with negativity, even if from other people sharing your space, there is a chance that this may be affecting your subliminal success. Additionally, global or planetary energies could be factoring into your progress, as well. It's a good idea, if you are very serious about manifestation, to begin studying planetary energies and their effects on our workings and to begin doing exercises to improve your ability to sense and identify energies in the air. Signs of a Negative SubSome commonly experienced signs of a subliminal having negative energies or affirmations include: A "bad" or uncomfortable feeling, physical discomfort (not to be confused with tingles or transformation pains), progressively decreasing self-esteem with listening, a noticeable change in day-to-day luck, and manifestation of the opposite results of what you're attempting to manifest. If you begin to experience these things while using a subliminal, stop listening to it and take a look at the comments section. Note if others are having similar experiences or if they are, instead, having success. If you've ruled out surrounding energies and unaddressed programming and you notice others having similar feelings or experiences, you may have a negative subliminal (or sub-maker) or your hands. But hold tight! Just because a subliminal is negative does not necessary mean that it has negative affirmations or that this was even done intentionally. The fact of the matter is that many sub-makers - even the popular ones - do not have previous experience with energy work. Due to this, it is possible that the creators of these subliminals are not taking into account their own energies when they are creating their subliminals. If they have negative energies in or around them, and they create a sub while these energies are present, it is very possible (and even likely) that these energies can seep into the subliminals they are creating. Like anything we create, subliminals get filled with our own energies and intentions while we create them. In this case, the sub-maker is not a bad person, but rather, they may have no idea that they are making a negative subliminal. If you are willing to take the risk of exploring further to determine whether or not that is the case, you can try testing other subliminals from their library from different time periods to see if you get the same experience. You may be out of luck in this department if their subliminals were all made around the same time - and, in truth, it's possible that negative energies have always been present in or around them, and they were never aware of it to be able to address it. For this reason, I am firmly against "exposing" or "calling out" sub-makers without sufficient evidence that proves they are promoting negativity intentionally. So What Can We Do?The first thing you can and should do if you truly believe someone's subliminal is negative is reach out to the sub-maker and let them know about your concerns and experiences. If you aren't the only one experiencing these things, inform them of such. Make them aware of other subliminals in their library that may be yielding the same unfortunate results. If seem concerned but ensure you that they are not using negative affirmations in their subliminals, let them know that it may be a case of unaddressed negative energy in themselves or in their space that is seeping into the subliminal while they are creating it and that this is easily fixed by simply cleansing the self and space, getting into a more relaxed or happy state, and recreating the audio or video file in a better headspace.
If they respond poorly, negatively, defensively, or sarcastically, the best thing you can do is leave a comment on the subliminal itself letting others know about the things you experienced while using it. If you find that your comments are being deleted by the sub-maker, then and only then would I suggest making your own video, audio, or post mentioning the subliminal you used, the creator of the subliminals, the experiences you had while using the subliminal, and the experiences you had with the creator when you tried to address it. It is best to be completely honest in this case and to not be overly accusatory. Only provide what you know. Again, if you do not have sufficient evidence or if you are the only one having these experiences while others seem to be having more positive ones, do not do this, as it harms the entire community. I truly feel and believe that we are capable of improving, growing, and learning as a community - both sub-user and sub-maker alike - as long as we remain open and willing. I also believe that the good of the community very much outweighs the bad of the community, and the bad can only be combated by the good of the community uniting and lifting each other up rather than spending all of our time and energy putting others down. Remember, negativity in any form can have a negative impact on results. |
